​Early Life and Background

Stephen James Hendry, known professionally as Stephen James, was born on December 4, 1990, in Hammersmith, London, England. He possesses a diverse heritage, with a Scottish father, Elijah Henry, and an Israeli mother. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch (185 cm), Stephen's athletic build and striking features have contributed to his success in both sports and modeling. ​

Football Career

Before venturing into modeling, Stephen pursued a career in professional football. He began in the youth system of Queens Park Rangers in 2005 and later joined Brentford. In 2008, he became part of AFC Wimbledon's development program. Stephen also played for Nea Salamis Famagusta FC in Cyprus during the 2008–2009 season. Internationally, he represented Scotland's Under-18 team in 2007, earning two caps. Unfortunately, a significant injury in 2012 led to the end of his football career. ​

Transition to Modeling

Stephen's modeling career commenced in September 2012 after being scouted by Elite Model Management in Barcelona. His distinctive appearance, characterized by extensive tattoos and a confident presence, quickly garnered attention in the fashion industry. He has modeled for renowned brands such as Calvin Klein, Diesel, Philipp Plein, and XTI. His work has been featured in publications including GQ Germany, GQ Spain, Men's Health, and El País Semanal. Stephen is represented by several agencies: Elite Model Management (Paris, Barcelona, Copenhagen), I Love Models (Milan), Storm Modeling Agency (London), and Wilhelmina Models (New York, Los Angeles). ​

Personal Ventures and Interests

Beyond modeling, Stephen has channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into establishing "Elijah," a barbershop, gym, and tattoo studio located in Barcelona. The establishment reflects his personal style and has attracted a high-end clientele. 

Stephen is also known for his extensive body art, featuring portraits of cultural icons such as Frida Kahlo and Queen Elizabeth II, as well as various symbolic designs. ​
